“ Friendly service. My salad was decent, but the breakfast apple French toast was a little on the burnt side. I would love to come back to try their other interesting menu items. ”
“ What a gem that we found after taking our dog to the beach nearby!!! Outside seating that is dog friendly but only enough room for 2 people and one pup to be seated together. If you have a larger group and you want to be outside, you'd be back to back. Ample seating inside the restaurant though. Really yummy desserts located at the front right when you walk in. Unfortunately we were stuffed and couldn't order dessert. Ok so I AM NOT a fan of vegan cheese. But let me tell you, the Big Sur makes you totally forget about the fact that you ordered vegan cheese because the ENTIRE rest of the pizza is divine!!!!! We live far from Monterey but I'm coming back for this restaurant. I'm passing on the tamale pie next time because I want to try other dishes, and it was good but not great. The cauliflower wings were delicious! Super cool, but dimly lit restrooms! Check em out before you leave :) service here is superb. ”

“ Stopping by from LA on our way to Big Sur -- and wow!! This spot is such a gem. Their food and service is amazing! The atmosphere here is rustic with a mom and pops feel -- super cute and picturesque. Thank you to the wonderful host Rose and our lovely server Renee who made this visit all the more special. *we also got the roasted artichokes (DELICIOUS) and a mocha (also DELICIOUS) that wasn't included in the photos. 10/10 ”
“ Foood was AMAZING, pizza dough is so yummy i recommend the Big Sur pizza. Cauliflower wings were also perfect! Not too spicy and not bland at all, the vegan ranch is 10/10. The atmosphere was so nice and servers are all so friendly will come back when I visit! ”
“ On a blustery evening my husband and I were treated to excellent service by Emily at this cozy local favorite. I say treated as they were hosting a week long Elite Event. Thank you to the owners for your generous hospitality. I chose the Smokehouse Pizza which is a yummy vegan creation with seitan bacon, cheese, green and red onions, and mushrooms. The sauce was so flavorfully tangy and sweet. The photo shows how I could hardly wait to try the first bite. My husband ordered the homemade onion ring plate as a special appetizer; which was super crunchy with a wonderful batter I would love to learn to duplicate. I also ordered the roasted artichoke which was huge and I took half of it home along with the leftover pizza as it's also a good size. Julia's hosts live music on weeknights, and we hope to return when we can stay longer, and enjoy the ambience, friendly staff and the locals who frequent this healthy organic establishment. Located in a little plaza, nestled near the back of the parking lot, don't miss it. ”

“ Everything here was so tasty! We had the mushroom sampler, the salad with tamales, and buffalo cauliflower wings and they were all so delicious and fresh. The service was phenomenal also and the restaurant was a cute place (the bathroom was an insane experience). Would highly recommend! Also there is parking in the lot. ”
“ I'm so happy that Julia's got some more space. This place has always been super great, and kind of a little local secret. They probably doubled their indoor dining capacity and they are still packed most night. Julia's food is fantastic and has a pretty diverse menu. I also truly enjoy eating at this place, because it's really (generally) clean eating. This restaurant is vegan, and I'm not, but it still CHOOSE to eat here because it's that good. They also do some really fun/romantic/unique dining experiences for holidays and certain special events with prix fixed menus. ”

The service was also fast and friendly, which made the experience even better. I ordered the fried mushroom and cauliflower wings, and both were literally delish. The fried mushroom was a bit on the heavier side, but it was perfectly balanced with the sweet and sour sauce I requested on the side // definitely recommend that combo! The cauliflower wings were crispy, flavorful, and so satisfying. I also tried the lavender kombucha, which was super tasty and refreshing, though it didn't really taste like lavender. Still, it was a great drink to pair with the meal. I'd definitely come back! ”
